Teofilio Cubllias
Cubllias was born on March 8, 1949 in Lima, Peru. He is a former footballer or soccer player for the Peruvian national team. He not only considered Peru's best and most renowned soccer player of all time, but also that of South America. He was nicknamed El Nene and helped the Peruvian National team earn its way to victory in the 1975 Copa America. He also helped this team earn 7th place at the 1970 world cup. In 1972 this athelete was awarded South American Footballer of the year. The position Cubllias played was a midfielder. He had all the great skills needed to play excellent soccer: technical ability, amazing dribbling and a strong shot. He scored many goals throughout his career his overall total was 515. The 10 goals he scored in his world cup appearence earned him the achievment of 7th place of all-time goal scorers in the history of the World Cup. Cubillas is perhaps one of the greatest footballers to ever live, in fact, he and Pele are among the 125 greatest living soccer players.
